An essay of degraded rivers that need to be fixed up

These are a couple of photos taken on Tauhei Road, near Seiferts Road of the Mangawara Steam, the colour of the which runs around the Pukemokemoke Scenic Reserve and past the Fulton Hogan Quarry beside Tauhei Road, and then runs through Orini and into the Waikato River at Taupiri, in the Waikato – leaves a lot to be desired

Suffers from water abstractions for agricultural activities that leaves it looking like this most summers

After river control work has filled in corner pools, removed cover over a section of river were there was an agreement to trial using other means of control work…. This type of work occurs regularly and has little regard for fisheries interests.
