A Fly to Tie for Next Winter at Taupo

I came across this simple nymph pattern on a US site. It should be ideal for Taupo rivers this autumn and winter.
Are the red beads available? Try “The Fly Shop” at Methven, an excellent mail order business. Google for contact.
Instead of Mercer’s Buggy Nymph Dubbing, just use hare or rabbit or possum fur?

Hothead Pearl Bird’s Nest
Hook: Caddis-pupa hook (here a TMC 2457), sizes 12-16.
Bead: Hot pink or orange inverted/drop tungsten bead, size to match the hook.
Thread: Olive, 8/0 or 70-denier.
Tail: Mallard flank fibers.
Body: White Hends Pearl Quill.
Thorax/veil 1: Mercer’s Buggy Nymph dubbing.
Wings: Mallard flank fibers.
Thorax/veil 2: Mercer’s Buggy Nymph dubbing.
Collar: Peacock herl.
